Again, Kogi Community Conferred Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu With An Award Of Excellence, Dedicate Award To GYB

Traditional rulers in Kogi State have taken cognizance to align themselves with personalities and leaders who have made a significant mark, sacrificed, and contributed immensely to the development of their host communities, being education, health, wealth creation, peace, unity, security of life, and properties among others.

Engineer Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu is one such lucky man whose contribution has aided the development of his Kogi/Koton-karfe Local Government through a massive transformation of all kinds he has rendered over the years.

Engineer Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu has earned numerous awards both from community leaders, students, cooperate organizations, home and outside the shores of his host LG, a great feat he said to have emulated from his principal and incumbent Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu is the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources was recently honored by his people as an Icon of Excellence in his hometown, Gegu Beki in the Zone C area of the council and the award was presented to him by His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Muhammed ABBA Alhassan, (Nyiwo of Gegu Beki kingdom).

The event attracted sons and daughters of the area who have come to celebrate their leader whom God is using to change the narrative of their land.

Also honored at the event was a Chief Executive Officer and Managing director of Bakka Oil Nigeria Ltd Alhaji Abdulrahman Muhammed.

The event was tagged ‘Gegu Beki Day’ and was powered by Gegu Beki Development Association(GEBDA)

Reacting to his most recent award, the Commissioner said he will dedicate the award to his boss and Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for allowing him to serve and aid the development of his host community, Kogi LG, and the State as a whole.

Engineer Bashir Gegu also thank the people of Gegu Beki and Kogi LG for always standing by him, a development he described as an unbreakable strength that has kept him moving forward.

He assured of more dividends and urged his people to continue to render support to the cause of Governor Yahaya Bello to become the next President of Nigeria comes 2023.
