Kabba Bunu LG Chairman Denies beating his wife, Says Online Reports Sponsored by Desperate Political Opponents
Honorable Moses Olorunleke, Executive Chairman of Kabba Bunu local government has reacted to a story published online where it’s alleged that he has beat up his wife, a statement he described as baseless, unfounded allegation and a desperate attempt to smear his hard-earned reputation.
A press statement from Kabba Bunu LG Secretariat issued and made available to the media houses by Olawale Samuel, Senior Special Assistant, Media, and Publicity to the Executive Chairman described the writeup as sponsored orchestrated to smear the image of Hon. Moses Olorunleke gave his pedigree and outstanding performance.
The statement went further, “the post is not just a big tissue of lies and baseless allegations, the subsumed intent of the sponsored write-up reeks of an oozing and putrid defamation of character, targeted at tarnishing the upright reputation of Hon. Moses Olorunleke.
He said those behind the write-up are only jittery of the rising political profile of Hon. Moses Olorunleke hence resorts to the option of defaming his character thinking that will distract him from providing good governance to his people.
“blackmailing and name-calling of an innocent person like the Executive Chairman’s of Kabba Bunu because of his strong political prowess which is widely known as delivering his local government in all the elections conducted so far now a threat to his opponents.
“Not only are the assertion contained in the post utterly false, but they are also based in the febrile imaginations of the person by whom it is being peddled.”
The Kabba Bunu LG under the Executive Chairman is now working, this, he said could be the reason some of these failures now pick holes to defame his good image.
“We would have continued to watch on silent amusement, though we are not surprised because this is not the first time of him experiencing all sort of blackmailing because they see him as a treat.”
“The allegations against the personality of Hon. Moses that he beat his wife during his father’s burial is a big lie and baseless allegation, Hon. Moses father’s burial recorded a huge success with notable personality across the state”.
According to the Statement, the Chairman thanked the people of Kabba Bunu LG, Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole and Executive Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for all the supports he has been getting since he assumes office. He promised to continue with his laudable program aims at providing more dividends to the people just as he is known for.
In a similar development, the wife of the Chairman and chairperson of the council described the news as another fat lie of the new year, cautioning media houses to always cross-check their facts before going to the press in order not to mislead suspecting victims of fake news. According to her there was nothing of such happened between them but was surprised to read online.
