People of Nguru town, headquarters of Nguru Local Government Area of Yobe State were thrown into pandemonium when they woke up with a fiery inferno at the Central Market in the early hours of today.
According to people, the reasons for the inferno are yet unknown.
Nguru, an ancient town is one of the commercial hubs of the state with commercial activities due to the presence of a rail line that connects the town with Kano and other parts of the country.
Audu Yaro, information officer, Nguru Local Government Area confirmed the incident to newsmen in Yobe state.
