On behalf of my humble self and the Intellectuals for GYB Movements, I write to express our heart of gratitude to the Almighty God, for the choice of His Excellency, Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello from Kogi Central (Ebira) as the first Elected Executive Governor of Kogi State since the creation of Kogi as a State in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Many schools of thought have come to a conclusion that Gov Yahaya Adoza Bello’s coming to the shore and taking over the mantle of leadership of Kogi State in the last six years was divine.
By human specification, there were seventy-seven (77) reasons to stop an Ebira man from becoming the Governor of Kogi State but God in His infinite mercy has one hundred and Ninety-nine (199) reasons in favor of Ebira man to become the 4th Governor of Kogi State as at 27th Jan 2016.
Before the 2019 General Election, there were so many forces that came to challenge this divine mandate for His Excellency Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello to retain power for another four years as the Executive Governor of Kogi State simply because of their unbelieve that power can divinely come from Kogi Central.
Six years up the ladder of leadership, the vision has become clearer for the then adjudged least qualified ethnic groups in Kogi State by human thinking in 2016 has become a formidable force behind the accelerated and proportional development we can see in both the state and federal constituencies of Kogi State today.
By the grace of God, a good number of us have been part of APC struggles for winning at all levels since 2015 and as well promoting such through a couple of notable achievements such as security of lives and properties from bandits, terrorists, kidnappers, or ‘unknown gunmen in the State before 2016.
Today, we also have access to many new and improved infrastructural and developmental projects evenly spread across the 3 Senatorial District along with massive urban renewal projects in Ankpa, Okene, and Kabba, the traditional capitals of our 3 Senatorial Zones, other larger cities, and of course, our state capital, Lokoja.
We can see the 300-bed reference hospital and other general hospitals, the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, and went forth in achieving 100% accreditation of courses from the relevant laws, authorities, and regulators for CUSTECH and several other state institutions, including the Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba.
Like our campaign book on “Strategic Counter Insecurity Initiative of Governor Yahaya Bello of 2015-2019″, we have more achievements already to work on toward 2023 by the grace of God.
Kogites can better believe now that this flight of the New Direction Administration and Leadership of Kogi State have become better compared with what we used to know before the coming of APC.
The journey to the promised land is not over yet, but we have to thank God for where we are now and continue praying and supporting His Excellency for being able to keep the barton victory on.
