“Remain Good Children, Shun Social Vices, Stay Focused” – Hajiya Fatima Buba Enjoins Kogi Children

Kogi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Fatima Kabir Buba has charged children in the State to stay focused at pursuing their goals to enable them contribute positively to the growth of the society.

Hajiya Fatima gave the charge in an interview with Newsmen at the 5th inauguration ceremony of the Kogi State Children’s Parliament held at the Glass House – Government House, Lokoja.

The Women Affairs and Social Development Commissioner said Kogi State is blessed with brilliant children who are academically sound, stressing that there was need for them to stay focused so as to make good mark in the future.

“My advice to our children is that they need to remain good children, don’t engage in any social vices, stay focused and always aspire to be great

“Watch the kind of people you move with, respect the elders, be obedient to your parents and be prayerful as well

“The Kogi State Children Parliament will continue to have the support of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development anytime, any day, I congratulate all the Parliamentarians and I wish you all great success ahead”

She explained that irrespective of gender; children are heritage from God, calling on parents to give the desired attention to their children at all times.

Hajiya Fatima Kabir Buba appreciated Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for according priority to children in the State, praying for more of Allah’s wisdom upon the Governor to enable him do more for them.

The new Speaker, Kogi State Children Parliament, Right Honourable Amobeda Wisdom, appreciated God for the gift of life and also commended Governor Bello for giving Kogi State Children a right footing.

Rt. Hon. Wisdom promised that the Rights of Kogi State Children will not be trampled upon, calling for more support to enable them succeed.

“Its a great privilege for me to be recognized in the society, so I give all the glory to God Almighty and I also appreciate His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State for his warmth of embrace

“I also want to appreciate my wonderful mother, Mrs. Margaret Amobeda and my hero (my late father) – Mr. Gabriel Amobeda, may his soul rest in peace, I sincerely thank them for raising me well to become who I am today

“In my tenure, I promise that Kogi State Children will benefit from what is there’s and I also promise that their rights will be upheld and not neglected” he said.
