KOGAS: “Transparency, Accountability, Hallmarks of Good Governance, GYB Taking The Lead” – Hon. Idachaba

“Transparency and Accountability are the hallmarks of good governance and any government that keys into it will surely attain good success
“I am happy that in Nigeria today, my own Boss, the people’s Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State is taking the lead
“He has hit the ground running and I know other States will key into it, Kogi leads while others follow”
Above, was the submission of the Kogi State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Salifu Isah Idachaba, in an interview with Newsmen at the official unveiling of the Kogi Open Governance and Accountability System (KOGAS) and the Kogi Digital Album at the Glass House, Government House Lokoja.
Hon. Idachaba said the efforts of Governor Bello at digitalizing various sectors of the State was commendable, describing the Governor as a visionary leader who is consistent at proffering solution to issues.
He explained that the KOGAS Platform unveiled by the State Government was commendable, stressing the need for all to key to the laudable project.
Hon. Idachaba also commended the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo, for his commitment, stressing that information was key to a success administration.

The KOGAS Platform is to put the people of the State, Nigerians and people from across the globe opportunity to access information about the State, enhance good governance and accountability.
The KOGAS Platform will also serve as reference point where the public will access information about the activities of the Governor Yahaya Bello led administration.
Citizens of the State are expected to login to the platform, ask questions of concern from government Officials, among other functions.
Meanwhile, Governor Bello, who was represented at the event by his Deputy, Chief Edward David Onoja, directed that matters raised by the public must be attended to within twenty four (24) hours, calling on the State Ministry of Information and Communication to do more awareness campaign about the Platform to enable them take advantage of it.
Highpoint of the event was the sharing of brand new laptops to the Information Officers of the various Ministries in the State to enable them key to the new initiative effectively.
