GYB2PYB Youth Network Holds One Million Peace March Tomorrow in Abuja



A support Group, GYB2PYB Youth Network, is to hold a One Million March tomorrow, Wednesday 16th February 2022 in Abuja.

National Coordinator of the Group, Comrade Yunusa Dauda Frank Omala, said the event will take place at the Old Parade Ground, Central Area – Abuja beginning from 10 o’clock in the morning.

Comr. Omala said the Group with members from across the 36 States of the Federation decided to embark on the march as part of efforts at calling on Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello of Kogi State to contest of the 2023 Presidential race.

He said the move became imperative in view of the giant strides of Governor Bello in the areas of Security, appointment of youth and women into positions, infrastructure development, among others.

He noted that youths, despite having the highest number of voting rate in Nigeria, have been relegated in terms of national appointment, empowerment, elective or selective positions, saying such trends needed to be corrected in the coming political dispensation.

Comrade Yunusa Dauda Frank Omala, who hails from Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State, explained that the resolution of the Group to call on Governor Bello to join the coming Presidential race followed his good track records and his result oriented positions on national issues as displayed in governance.

“Right from Primary School days, we’ve always heard that youths are the leaders of tomorrow but administrations have come and gone and the tomorrow promised never saw the light of the day

The then youths have grown old, yet the promise made to them “Leaders of Tomorrow”, they have not seen it

Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State has taken the bull by the horn, he has made youths as leaders in the State, women are occupying positions under the administration of the pragmatic Governor

“Peace has long returned to lingering issues in the State, tribe, religion or what have you is no longer a barrier in Kogi State

“Security wise, he has done excellently well, we now see ourselves as one in Kogi State and that is because the Governor has shown us the power of unity

“This is why we GYB2PYB Youth Network has decided to embark on the One Million Peace March to plea with His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello to please, accept our various calls and join the presidential race come 2023” he said.

The GYB2PYB Youth Network National Coordinator said there are Countries of the world that are being manned by youthful Presidents, calling on Nigerians to give youth a chance to display their leadership worth.

He noted that the Governor’s disposition on the world killer disease – Corona Virus, also singled him out among world leaders, stressing that the act indicates how much the Governor has the interest of the citizens at heart.

He noted that the Kogi State Executive Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello will make life better for the entire citizens of Country in 2023.

Comr. Omala stressed that insecurity, a menace that has crippled the economy and livelihood of the citizens of Country will become a thing of the past if Governor Bello is opportune to lead as Nigeria’s President.

The National Coordinator noted that youths have brighter chances of serving as Senators, Governors, Ambassador to foreign Countries, among others when Governor Bello becomes President, adding that the Governor has all it takes to lead the Country to greater heights.

Comrade Omala enjoined youths across the Country to attend the epoch making event as it promises to chat a way forward for the betterment of Nigerians.
