“Make Unity, Oneness the Bedrock of Your Communication” – Gov. Bello Charges Sworn-in State APC Executive

The newly sworn-in Executives of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, have been charged to uphold the unity of Party members.
The State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, gave the charge in a message to the Inauguration Ceremony of the State Executives of the Party at the APC Secretariat, Lokoja.
Governor Bello who was represented by his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, explained that unity was essential towards ensuring the success of any course, expressing his administration’s determination at keeping members of the Party together as a family.
He noted that victory was sure to everyone who works in unity, describing the APC as a Party to beat in the coming elections.
“The message of His Excellency to us especially the newly sworn-in State Executives of the Party is very simple but paramount, as our leader, his number one priority is to unify the entirety of Kogi State
“Therefore the State Executive Chairman and other Executives of our great Party – All Progressives Congress, your role is to unite the party from the State to the Local Government, to the Wards and to the Polling Unit Levels
“When you meet to deliberate on issues – unity and oneness should be the bedrock of your communication
“The symbol of APC is the broom and it symbolizes unity and oneness but when there is division and factions, when there is crack and camps in a Party, fall is eminent
“His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State has held the Party together as one, therefore you all should follow suit and ensure the continuity of the oneness of our party members in the State
“His Excellency appreciates members of the Party, both old and new for your dogged efforts at ensuring the growth of the Party in the State” he said.
Governor Yahaya Bello advised them to live up to expectations in the discharge of their duties, describing their Inauguration as a call to service.
He expressed optimism that the Party will continue to be reckoned with in the State and the Country at large, calling on the Executives to also engage in membership drive.
“As Executives, don’t jump protocols, when you want to do anything, inform the appropriate leaders, let there be proper communication amongst us and God will crown all our efforts with good success
“To all elected persons on the platform of the Party, all appointees, other political office holders, party faithfuls, our duty is to continue to support Executives of the Party in the best way possible because when we do so, we are also supporting our leader, HE Alhaji Yahaya Bello
“I congratulate all of you and I wish you well in this political journey, God bless you all”
Speaking on behalf of the Executives, the State APC Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for rewarding the hard work and dedication of the Executives, describing him as a new breed politician who is changing old narratives for good.
Hon. Bello promised that the Executives will remain committed towards achieving the aims and objectives of the Party in the State, stressing that they will leave no stone unturned at ensuring the progress and growth of the APC.
He called for the maximum cooperation of party members at all levels in the State to enable the Party make greater progress, calling on the people to register with the ruling APC.
The inaugurated State Executives of the Party in Kogi State include Hon. Abdullahi Bello – Chairman, Hon. Aliyu Salihu Suleiman – Vice Chairman, Hon. Joshua Emmanuel Onoja – Secretary, Hon. Dele Olufemi Solomon – Assistant Secretary.
Hajiya Hawawu Aduku – Women Leader, Isah Abubakar – Organizing Secretary, Barr. Babatunde James – Legal Adviser, Prince Ibrahim Sheriff –
Treasurer, Dugbanya David – Financial Secretary, Usman Suleiman – Public Relations Officer and Shaibu A. Amodu as Welfare Officer.
Others are Meka Akpata – Auditor, Muhammed U. Muhammed – Youth Leader, Muazu Salihu Animoku – Zonal Chairman Central, Muhammed Nasiru Alfa – Zonal Chairman East as well as John Dare Anjorin – Zonal Chairman West, among others.
The Inauguration Ceremony was attended by government functionaries and party members from across the 21 LGA of the State.
