Kwara Schools Track Cycling Championship Final To Hold On Saturday

The much anticipated grand finale of the maiden edition of the Kwara State Schools Track Cycling Championship has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, 26th February, 2022.
According to the Organizers, the finals will take place by half past seven (7:30) on Saturday morning at the Kwara State Stadium Complex in Ilorin.
Organized by KTM foundation, the cycling championship is hinged on talents discovery and promotion of cycling Sports in Kwara State.
Having held preliminaries across all the three Senatorial District in Kwara State, the climax of the tournament will see Cyclist gunning for honours at the finals this Saturday.
Director General of KTM Foundation, Dr. Khadijah ‘Toyin Musah who is also a Board member of Cycling Federation of Nigeria (CFN) expressed delight over the talents that has been discovered so far, stating that the competition will not fall short of exciting moments on the final day.
“The final is going to be memorable. I can tell you that we have also provided all that is needed to deliver a programme of repute
“Hence, we are not going to leave any stone unturned – we are fully ready”
Dr. Khadijah who is also the Director of Center for Wellness and Creative Arts Therapy at the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, urged the competitors to put in their best at the finals and sustain the spirit of sportsmanship.
Also speaking ahead of the finals, the legendary Sportscaster, Bayour Issah who is the Head of Media of the championship said fantastic prizes will be carted away by winners in all categories of the competition.
Cyclists who have qualified to the final are expected to converge at the Stadium as they set sights on the ultimate prize.
Expected to lead other dignitaries to the final event is the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bola Magaji among other distinguished personalities.
