Hon. Idachaba Commends Gov. Bello over Appointment, Grading, Upgrading of Traditional Rulers Across Kogi State
Kogi State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Salifu Isah Idachaba, has commended Governor Yahaya Bello for Appointing, Grading and Upgrading Traditional Rulers Across the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State.
Hon. Idachaba gave the commendation while reacting to the Presentation of Staff-of-Office to the Traditional Rulers by the Governor at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre, Lokoja.
The Commissioner said the traditional rulers deals directly with the people at the grassroots, saying Governor Bello’s attention to them was a prove of his determination and commitment at reaching out to the people at the grassroots.
He explained that since the Governor‘s assumption of Office, traditional institutions in the State has enjoyed robust relationship with the State Government, this he said has also brought even development and peace at all levels.
While congratulating the traditional rulers over the new feat, the Commissioner enjoined them to remain steadfast at discharging their duties and prayed Allah to endow them with more wisdom and strength to do the needful at all times.
Hon. Idachaba commended the show of solidarity of the people of Kogi East, who throng the venue to celebrate with the traditional rulers, calling on them to sustain such gesture and also cooperate with the traditional rulers to enable them succeed.
As the State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Salifu Isah Idachaba promised continuous collaboration with the traditional rulers at promoting the rich Culture of the people of the Confluence State.
One hundred and four (104) traditional rulers – 31 first Class, 30 second Class and 43 third class traditional rulers across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State received their Staff-of-Office at the event.
