Kogi State Advisory Intervention Committee on Culture/Tourism, Submit Report To State Govt.
The Kogi State Advisory Intervention Committee on Culture and Tourism, has submitted her Report to the State Government.
The 9-man Committee, led by its Chairman, Otumba Segun Runsewe, who is the Director General – National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), while submitting the Report said the Committee was committed to actualizing the mandate upon which the Advisory Committee was set up.
Otumba Runsewe, who was represented by the Alternate Chairman of the Committee and Kogi State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Salifu Isah Idachaba, reassured the State Government that the Members of the Committee will continue to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties, explaining that the Committee is blessed with men and women who are traveling far and wide – exploiting potentials in the Sector.
In a remark, the Secretary of the Committee and Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Femi Bolaji, appreciated the State Government for according attention to the sector and also commended the Chairman, Otumba Runsewe for his doggedness at piloting the affairs of the Committee.
Receiving the Report, Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade (PhD), said the Report will be forwarded to the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for further actions.
While describing the Submission of the Report as timely, Dr. Folashade commended the Committee for her commitment and professionalism deployed to the implementation of the Terms of Reference (ToR) as approved by Governor Bello.
The SSG described the State Governor as a man with foresight, stressing that he will leave no stone unturned at developing the Culture and Tourism sector Kogi State.
She explained that the State is blessed with many historical, Tourism sites and diverse culture, adding that in no distance time, the State will become a force to be reckoned with in the sector.
