Nyiwo of Gegu-Beki Upgrades Engr. Bashir Gegu Title To Sardauna Gegu-Beki

 

 

 

It was an atmosphere filled with jubilation as sons and daughters of Gegu-Beki in Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State gathered to celebrate the recent upgrade of the Stool of the Nyiwo of Gegu-Beki, HRM Alhaji Muhammed Abba Alhassan to a first class status by Governor Yahaya Bello.

At the event, the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Abubakar Muhammed Bashir, who is popularly called Bashir Gegu, got his traditional title of Masani Daudu earlier conferred on him to Sardauna Gegu-Beki.

In an interview with Newsmen, Engr. Abubakar Bashir appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for upgrading the Nyiwo Stool to a first Class Status.

He described Governor Bello as a man of dignity who holds traditional rulers with high esteem, pointing out that traditional Institutions across the State have been receiving ultimate attention since his assumption of Office of Governor Bello.

He appreciated the Nyiwo of Gegu-Beki, HRM Alhaji Muhammed Abba Alhassan, for finding him worthy of the upgrade.

While describing the Nyiwo of Gegu-Beki as a blessing to the Kingdom, he prayed Allah to continue to strengthen him at all times.

Engr. Bashir Gegu noted that the honor done him was a more call to service, promising to continue to contribute to the development of the Area.

The Sardauna of Gegu-Beki appreciated the people for turning out in their numbers to grace the event, calling on them to sustain their support to Governor Yahaya Bello and as well, remain peaceful in their conducts.

Other traditional rulers from within and outside the Area, were present at the event.
