Kogi NSSAN Chairman Praises Gov. Bello Over Road Rehabilitation Efforts, Calls For More
Kogi State Chairman of the National Sesame Seed Association of Nigerian (NSSAN), Alhaji Suleiman Damisa has commended Governor Yahaya Bello over the various road rehabilitation carried out by his administration.
Alhaji Damisa gave the commendation after a visit to some sesame seed farmers in their farms in the State.
He said the Governor‘s efforts at giving facelift to various roads in the State has been unprecedented, noting that such worth commendation from all quarters.
“His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of our dear State – Kogi State has been doing a great job in the State in terms of road construction and rehabilitations
“Our roads in Kogi Central is wearing a new look today, most our feeder roads that were abandoned for long has been rehabilitated and our people are enjoying it
“The State Capital – Lokoja is also experiencing new look, in fact, across other Local Government Areas of the State, things has really changed and we appreciate His Excellency Excellency for it” he said.
The State NSSAN Chairman however called on the State Government to in her usual manner, accord attention to the Zone 8 Round About through Umeme Bridge – Otokiti, Army Barracks – Apamsede, Zango Daji – GYB Roundabout by Abuja Express way.
He said the call became necessary following the challenges farmers face at conveying their produce to the market through the route.

Alhaji Damisa explained that farmers in the aforementioned Areas have been committed at ensuring that they contribute their quota towards ensuring food security in the State, pointing out that rehabilitation of the roads will ease their stress.
“I paid a visit to some sesame seed farmers at their various farm sites in Aku, Zango and Ajanaku farm settlement and most of them complained that they have been facing difficulties conveying their produce to town because of the conditions of the Zone 8 Round About through Umeme Bridge – Otokiti, Army Barracks – Apamsede, Zango Daji – GYB Roundabout by Abuja Express way
“We have seen what His Excellency has done so far and also know the commitment of his Commissioner for Works, Hon. Abubakar Ohere
“We are appealing to them to please accord attention to those Areas so that our farmers can easily convey their produce to the market and to other places, this is my passionate appeal”
The State NSSAN Chairman enjoined farmers to continue to work hard, expressing optimism that better days awaits them.
