A group, known as the campaign structure for the actualization of the dream of former governor of Kogi, His Excellency, Alhaji Prince Abubakar Audu has revealed that it would commence a Statewide campaign for the support of Grand Patron Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation, SAAF, Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu ahead of the 2023 elections.
Alhaji Shuaibu Audu on Monday held a series of advocacy meetings with various groups, the meeting which begin around 12:43 am and ended around 3:am.
Shuaibu Audu for Good Governance, SAAG, headed by a grassroots politician, Mr. Umar Ogudi Sheriff led 21 local government coordinators to meet the Guber aspirant under closed doors.
The sheriff said Audu’s aspiration signifies love, unity, and peace of the State, urging the populace of Kogi to join the movement in the interest of fairness, equity, and development.
Mr. Sheriff disclosed this in Ogbonicha, Ofu local government area of the State after they meet with Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, who said the astute banker is competent, qualified, and can serve the State.
The group stressed that their membership cut across 21 LGAs in the State described the Shuaibu Audu as an ideal and recipe to succeed the incumbent Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Another group that met with Shuaibu is Shuaibu Audu Network, the group was under the leadership, of Comrade Egbunu Alex Friday, who described Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu as a rare philanthropist whose gestures and contributions scatter all over the State, ranging from potable drinking water, provision of health care services, education, agriculture and empowerment among other things.
“We met with our principal and we discussed extensively regarding his gubernatorial aspiration, we have agreed to work together towards providing good governance to the people of Kogi State.”
“We have a tour around the three senatorial districts of the State, the people are willing and eager to vote for Alhaji Shuaibu Audu believing he has the required capacity and very well in all fields of politics just like his late father, and former governor of the State.”
The group noted that as the 2023 election approaches, it was soliciting the support of all well-meaning Kogi citizens to join the struggle to keep the State as one while ensuring that the visions of their principal will surely stand the test of time.
Reacting to massive support, love, solidarity, and prayers from the people of the State, Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu thanked the people of the State for believing in the Audus, assuring that the aims and dreams of his late father will be realized if the given the mandate.
He said he has a lot to offer the State, however, noted that he can not do it alone except with the support of all. He said.
