Nigeria’s Representative, Kogi State Cultural Troupe Emerges Africa’s Best in India

…Gov. Bello Expresses Satisfaction With Troupes Achievement

 

After a two-weeks intensive performances at the 35th Edition of SURAJKUND International Crafts Mela Cultural Festival in India, Nigeria’s sole representative – Kogi State Cultural Troupe has emerged Africa’s Best Representative 2022 at the event.

This followed the impressive performances put up by the Troupe at the event that brought Country’s across the globe together to showcase their their rich culture.

The Troupe, upon return to the Country, presented the Awards received to the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello Bello.

Upon receiving the Troupe led to his Abuja residence by the State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Salifu Isah Idachaba, Governor Bello commended the Troupe for their brilliant performances.

Governor Bello noted that the Troupe’s emergence as African Best Representative 2022, was a sign of the abundant talent inherent in Kogi State.

He said his Administration has been according the needed attention to the sector, stressing that he will leave no stone unturned at developing the sector to enviable heights.

Governor Bello appreciated the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture for finding the State Cultural Troupe worthy of representing the Country at an international scene, promising that he will continue to do his best at ensuring the rapid development of the sector.

On his part, the State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Salifu Isah Idachaba, expressed happiness over the achievement of the Troupe, stressing that they will continue to live up to expectations.

Hon. Idachaba commended the cooperation of all members to the event, describing them as a team to beat.

On her part, an elated Director of the Kogi State Council for Arts and Culture, Mrs. Wosilat Owuda, appreciated Almighty Allah for granting them huge success at the the international scene.
