The Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi, (HRH) Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, has described Late Engineer Joseph Oyeyani Makoju as a detribalised personality who cared about the progress of others at all times.

The Traditional Ruler who stated this at the funeral of the deceased in Okene, described him as a philanthropist whose positive contributions to the lives of the people cannot be forgotten.
“Engr. Joseph Makoju was a great philanthropist who carried everybody along in the scheme of things irrespective of your religion, tribe, clan or where you come from
“He was so down to earth, he is a huge loss to humanity so I pray that may the Almighty grant him an eternal rest
“The advice I have for the youths is that they should copy the manner Engr. Joseph Oyeyani Makoju lived his life because anyone who fashion his/her life after the late hero will surely be remembered for good” he said.
(HRH) Ahmed Tijani, called on the people to always emulate the good deeds of Late Engr. Joseph Makoju, stressing that the society needs people of great minds like the late Elder Statesman.
