
The Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi, (HRH) Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, has described religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence as tools for a progressive and prosperous society.
His Royal Highness, Ahmed Anaje made the assertion during the twenty-twenty-two Easter Festival – an annual event commemorating the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ held at the Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, Okengwe in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.
He noted that God created all men equal, saying there was no need for men to allow earthly things divide them.

The traditional ruler pointed out that the peace of the society translates to individuals progress, calling on the people to prioritize peaceful atmosphere at all times.
“God the almighty has created everyone equal, He expects us to live as one family irrespective of the religion we practice, the language we speak, our status or clan, we are one
“Let’s coexist peacefully with one another, let’s ensure peace in our Communities because we all stands to benefit from the peace witnessed in the society
“This is my Easter message to us all, Christians, Muslims, whatever religion you practice, just know that we are one so let’s live as brothers and sisters” he said.

His Royal Highness, Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje charged the people to engage in constructive and productive course that will strengthen the bond of unity in a given society, stressing that religious tolerance was important to attaining greater heights.
Speaking on the forthcoming elections, the Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi advised the people to chose credible leaders with the interest of the people at heart and also called on Politicians vying for positions not to neglect the masses who voted them into power after emerging winners.
While encouraging the people to pray to God for the right leaders to emerge, he also enjoined them to get their Permanent Voter Cards and perform their franchise in the coming elections.

His Royal Highness, Ahmed Anaje promised to continue to live up to expectations in the discharge of his duties as the Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi, calling for the cooperation and prayers of the people to enable him succeed.
