The Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu, has Commissioned 5 Primary Schools, 4 Secondary Schools, one Primary Healthcare Centre and recruited 30 teachers in BUDON, AKPATA, ATSAWA Communities in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.
In a message to the Commissioning Ceremony of the renovated and equipped facilities, Dr. Ramatu Tijani said the projects were borne out of her desires to ensure that the people, especially the young ones has access to quality education in a conducive atmosphere.
The Minister who was represented at the Ceremony by her Special Assistant on Primary Healthcare, Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad, described Dr. Ramatu as one who is given to humanitarian services expecting nothing in return.
“We renovated 10 blocks of classrooms in about 5 Communities in Budon Primary school, Budon Secondary School, Akpata Primary School, Atsawa and other Communities in Lokoja Local Government Area of our dear State – Kogi
“We renovated and equipped those schools to higher grades just to ensure that the pupils and student has access to quality education in a serene environment
“Hajiya Ramatu Tijani is such a fellow that will do anything for the people expecting nothing in return, all her desire is to see that the people are happy – that is her joy
“Earlier this year (2022) we renovated and equipped a Primary Healthcare Centre in Kogi here, Commissioned some boreholes, paid WAEC, MOCK Examination Fee for students among others
“This is her kind of person, she is solely given to giving to others at all times and she didn’t do any of these things for praises from the people, as long as the people are happy, she’s satisfied
“She has been very exceptional as a Minister who hails from Kogi State, the people are very glad to have her as their representative at the National level and the entire people of Kogi State are very happy with her” the Minister’s representative said.
Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu noted that impacting the society positively has always being her passion, stressing that she will continue to contribute her quota at making the society a better place for all.

“Part of her voyage to Budon to see the state of the schools there, we discovered that one of their major problem is that the last time they went to school was in February 2020 because the teachers were not being paid so they down their tools
“Now Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu said she’s recruiting 30 Teachers that she will be paying on monthly basis just to ensure that the schools are open again and enable pupils and students resume their academic activities
“They are still very young and if you don’t educate them at this stage of their lives, they may grow up to become problem to the society and they won’t be able to compete with their mates outside
“That was why the Honourable Minister said all the schools from Jamata down to Budon should be renovated and well equipped for the use of the people
“When it comes to Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu – Honourable Minister of State for FCT, we can’t finish what she has done because she has been touching the lives of many positively
“Recently, she brought Ramadan palliatives, she’s been reaching out to the widows, orphans, children, the less privileged, name them
“All we need is to continue to pray to Allah to strengthen her for us and also elevate her from her current position to greater heights because we know, she will do more for the people when she is given greater opportunity”
The people of the benefiting Communities trooped out in their numbers to appreciate the Honourable Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu for her gesture towards them and prayed to Almighty Allah to see her through in her assignment and as well, elevate her to greater heights.
