Odariko, Iraki, Gaba Communities in Kogi LGA Benefits From Dr. Ramatu Tijani Water Project

It was a joyous moment at Odariko, Iraki and Gaba Communities in Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State as the Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu, extends her water project to the Communities.

Some dwellers who could not hold back their happiness over the gesture of the Minister, described her as “Mama Ruwa” while others referred to her as “Mama Life”

Speaking on behalf of the women at Odariko Community, under Odaki Ward in Koton-Karfe, Hajiya Habibat Suleiman and Hajiya Ramotu Abdullahi, prayed Allah to grant the Minister long life, peace of mind and uncommon wisdom to continue to discharge her responsibilities.

Similarly, Ibrahim Abdullahi Kasara, while speaking on behalf of the youths in the Area, described Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu as an astute politician who knows what to do per time to impact the lives of the electorate.

Kasara appreciated the Minister for the 2022 Ramadan palliatives sent to the people of the Area, stressing that her labour of love towards the people during the Ramadan will be bountifully rewarded by Allah.

While at Iraki Community in Girinya Ward – Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State, a Community leader, Idris Suleiman Isah, explained that the people of the Community used to fetch water from a stream in the bush even at night, saying the gesture of the Minister was a succor to them.

He prayed Allah to promote the Minister to higher heights and as well, grant her favour in all her endeavor.

In a goodwill message, the Chairman of Youth of Iraki Development Association, Comrade Adamu Garba Usman, said the people of the Community have been facing challenges at getting portable water, while appreciating the Minister for the water provided to the people of the Community.

Dwellers of Gaba Community who spoke in their native language, prayed Allah to grant the Minister all round blessings.

On his part, the Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi Local Government Area Chapter, Comrade Isah Abubakar Ada-Abu, commended Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu for touching the lives of others positively.

From time immemorial, Comrade Ada-Abu said the Minister has been of tremendous help to the people, praying Allah to elevate the Minister to higher position.

Responding, the Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu, expressed happiness over the successful commissioning of the water projects.

Dr. Ramatu Tijani who was represented by her Special Assistant on Primary Healthcare, Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad, said the importance of Water to all household cannot be overemphasized, hence the need for her to embark on the Water projects.

“Part of our findings revealed that Iraki Community has been without portable water for over ten years and we can’t allow such to continue

“Everyone needs water for several purposes on daily basis, this is why we swung into action by doing our best to ensure that the people has access to good water

“We are simply pleading with the people to take ownership of these projects and ensure they are in good condition at all time” she said.

Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu said she will not relent in her efforts at ensuring that the people at the grassroots have a feel of government‘s presence, calling on them to sustain their support to leaders in authority to enable them do more for the people.
