As the APC primary election ahead of the 2023 election draws nearer, with all political permutations and politicking, one of the frontrunners of the APC Kogi central senatorial tickets, Hon. Sheriff Dalhatu has advised delegates to ensure their votes are given to the right person who is deserving of their votes for a better and more effective representation in the red chamber.
Dalhatu appealed while speaking to journalists via phone interviews, where he talked about his intentions when he emerges victorious, according to him, he boasted of deserving the ticket as he is prepared to make a positive impact, based on his popularity in grassroots politics, and stated that in a free and fair election no aspirants who have so far indicated interest has his qualities.
” When a vote is a cast, it is a vote for the future, a vote for the rebirth of Hope, Activism of Hope, a vote of Ambition. I urge delegate voters to think very carefully about what happened a few years ago. Is a vote for the same old system going to change anything for the better? Should we not be brave? Should we not seek something better? ”
Dalhatu had contested in 2015 where He narrowly lost to Senator Ohiare, After several litigations that later led to the disqualification of the All Progressive Congress from the poll, with slimmer margins.
He opined on the importance of carrying the youths along in politics, and the active roles he has reserved for them when elected as his policies are geared toward improving the welfare of his constituency through his all-inclusive representative policies.
