The Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi, (HRH) Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, has commended the Vice Chancellor, Confluence University of Science and Technology, (CUSTECH) Osara, Engr. Salawu Sadiku, over his commitment to seeing to the transformation of the University.
HRH Ahmed Anaje who gave the commendation when he visited the Vice Chancellor at the Institution said the University has worn a new look within a short period of time, while praising other management team for their cooperation at moving the higher Institution of learning to greater heights.
He pointed out that Governor Yahaya Bello’s commitment at uplifting the standard of education in Kogi State was fasting yielding results and commended the Governor birthing the Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara.
“I am here to appreciate Professor Salawu Sadiku, the Vice Chancellor of the Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara, for the significant role he played during my coronation and to also see for myself, the rapid development taking place in the University that I have been hearing of
“Indeed, I have seen the great work that is taking place here and I am very happy that such is happening in our land (Ebiraland)
“Kudos to the State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello who deemed it fit that Kogi State should have a higher Institution of learning whose purpose is specific and super relevant both at the State, in Nigeria and even outside the shores of the Country” the Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi stated.
The Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi called on the people of the State to give the VC of CUSTECH all the needed support to enable him succeed, stressing that the importance of Education cannot be overemphasized in today’s world.
On his part, the Vice Chancellor, Confluence University of Science and Technology, (CUSTECH) Osara, Engr. Salawu Sadiku, described the visit of the Ohi of Okengwe as symbolic, saying it serves as encouragement to the Institution.
Prof. Sadiku pointed out that the rapid development being witnessed in the University was not far fetched from the relentless of the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, describing him as a visionary leader and a beacon of hope.
“The Ohi of Okengwe is not just an individual but an Institution, by visiting us, we are now being encouraged that all the Institutions within Kogi State are solidly behind the development being witnessed in the University
“We are also being encouraged to do more and to ensure the speedy completion of the University for the benefit of all” he said.
