A 2023 Kogi Central Senatorial hopeful, Alhaji Dalhatu Sheriff has Described the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello as a man with a large heart.
Alhaji Dalhatu made the assertion while presenting his All Progressives Congress (APC) Nomination & Expression of Interest Forms to the Governor at his residence in Abuja.
He said Governor Bello’s sterling leadership was second to the none in the State, noting that since the Governor‘s assumption of Office, the State has been witnessing tremendous growth in all ramifications.
The Kogi Central Senatorial Aspirant who appreciated Governor Bello for his fatherly role, show of love and commitment to the growth of APC in the State, pointed out that Governor Bello has created a level play ground for all Aspirants to carry out their lawful activities.
“I am here to present my Kogi Central Senatorial Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms which I have purchased, to show his Excellency, the Executive Governor of our dear State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and to also formally inform him of my intention to Contest for the Senate seat of Kogi Central Senatorial District in the 2023 General Elections
“As Allah will have it, I met his Chief of Staff here in person of Pharmacist Muhammed Jamiu Abdulkareem Asuku who happens to be the youngest CoS to a sitting Governor in the whole Federation, this is the great difference that His Excellency has brought on board – giving youths opportunity to serve the people
“I wan to categorically say that His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of our dear State is a man with a very heart, because he has been accommodating all aspirants under the fold of the All Progressives Congress, APC
“The people of Kogi State under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello has witnessed oneness and are super united and this can be referred to as unprecedented
“Your Excellency, as a father, you have set a pace for us to follow and you are doing so with humility
“Over the years, your mentorship and demonstration of love for all have been so awesome and with you, we remain united and hopeful for a greater Nigeria in few months, no doubt” he said.
Alhaji Dalhatu pointed out that he is in the race to provide qualitative and people centered leadership to the people of the central Senatorial District if chosen to serve.
He said youth/women empowerment/employment, attracting federal government‘s attention to the State and sponsoring Bills that will have direct bearings on the people will be his priority when given the opportunity to serve.
Alhaji Dalhatu Sheriff appreciated supporters of the APC for their relentless support so far, promising that he will not betray their trust.
The Kogi Central Senatorial hopeful enjoined them to sustain their support to enable him clinch the Party’s ticket in the Primaries of the Party and emerge victorious in the general elections.
Responding, Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello appreciated the Aspirant for his support commitment to the Party so far.
Governor Bello assured that all aspirants in the State would be given a level play ground to prove their worth and capacity which will be justified by the Party delegates during the Primary Elections.
He advised all Aspirants to make the people their focal point of their activities, stressing that the need for them to impact the lives of the people positively cannot be overemphasized.
Governor Bello also called on them and their supporters to sustain the existing peace in the State, charging them to seek for the progress and development of the society.
Alhaji Dalhatu Sheriff was accompanied by his aides and other supporters on the visit.
