A 2023 Kogi West Senatorial Aspirant, Mrs. Adedoyin Ibikunle Eshanumi, says the response of critical stakeholders regarding her aspirantion has been serving as a morale boost even as the Primary Election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) draws closer.
The only female Senatorial Aspirant in Kogi West stated this in a Chat with Newsmen in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital, Midweek.
She noted that she has been consulting all and sundry especially critical stakeholders, stressing that the coast was clear ahead of the Elections.
“I have consulted leaders, women and youth leaders within the APC from ward to Local Government up to the State level and they expressed their support for my aspiration
“I have also taken my consultations beyond the Party, I have been meeting with our respected traditional rulers, Community leaders, the Clergy, women leaders, as well as our young people
“I can tell you the response from these Groups has boosted my confidence” she said.
The Kogi West Senatorial hopeful who expressed confidence that she will clinch the ruling Party’s ticket, promised to prioritize women and youth empowerment if elected for the Senate seat come 2023.
The Frontline aspirant who disclosed her plans towards bringing development to her senatorial district said she will attract infrastructural projects to the senatorial district.
“I joined the race for the sole purpose of pulling more of my people out of poverty, youth and women empowerment is critical to achieving this
“Also critical to reducing the level of poverty among our people will be me attracting infrastructural projects in the education and health sectors, as well as basic infrastructure and even in the area of rural electrification”
Being the only female aspirant vying for the position, Chief Adedoyin Ibikunle Eshanumi called for the support other women to her aspirantion, expressing optimism that they will not regret such as she will be running an all inclusive representation and serve as advocate for women involvement in governance if elected.
