A 2023 Kogi State House of Assembly Aspirant for Okehi State Constituency, Hon. Otokiti Alhassan Zakariya has been successfully screened by the Screening Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the Primaries of the Party.
In an interview with Newsmen after his screening, Hon. Otokiti described the process as peaceful, describing the Committee Members as men of great intellect.
He noted that his quest to represent the people of Okehi State Constituency is aimed at bring dividends of democracy to their doorsteps, stressing that he will stay focused at ensuring people centered legislation if elected for the position.
“I still stand on what I said when I came to pick my forms, that is strictly legislative business and dividends of democracy for all
“I will bring development to Okehi State Constituency and also focus on youth and women empowerment through skills acquisition especially at a time like this that white collar job is hard to come by, I will work assiduously to ensure our people become self-employed” he said.
Hon. Otokiti Zakariya pointed out that politics is not a do or die affair, calling on his supporters to remain peaceful in their conducts before, during and after the elections.
“My advice to my supporters is that they should remain upright in their doings and they should be politically friendly at all times
“The journey to the State House of Assembly comes with hurdles, we have crossed some but we still the Primaries and the General Elections ahead, so I enjoined my supporters and members of our great Party – the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain dedicated to the Party and Insha Allah, victory shall be ours” Otokiti stressed.
