Contrary to rumours making the rounds by mischief makers that the relationship between Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his political son, Dr. Abdullahi Ozomata is strained is not only malicious but condemnable.

A statement by Dr. Ozomata Campaign Team explained that the duo have been in good terms since the beginning of Governor Yahaya Bello’s political journey in Kogi State till date, calling on the public to disregard the fake news.

The statement noted that in 2015, Dr Ozomata played a pivotal role in seeing to the success of Governor Yahaya Bello’s emergence as Governor of Kogi State . Again the feat was repeated in 2019 when Dr Ozomata stood up for Governor Bello’s return to office through organizing numerous health care outreaches around the state to propagate the agenda of the Governor, thereby contributing massively to the unprecedented win at the gubernatorial polls.

According to the statement, Governor Yahaya Bello’s ambition to run for President is one welcomed and totally embraced by Dr Ozomata who is working tirelessly to see that this feat becomes a victorious reality.

It is based on this the statement condemns in strong terms the activities of some hellions who disguises as loyalists to craft stories for political gains and sharing them on social media as a strategy to gain favour and also peddle false rumours that Dr Abdullahi Ozomata is incitive against the Governor.

This fake news does not bother the camp of Dr Ozomata but it is paramount to clarify issues because Governor Yahaya Bello stands as a role model to Dr Abdullahi Ozomata and he (the Governor) has set standards and precedents which Dr Ozomata is carefully threading.

The relationship between the two goes beyond politics, it is stemmed from the ideologies and achievements of the Governor before he even delved into the political scene.

For further clarification and to reiterate his unalloyed loyalty and commitment to Governor Yahaya Bello, this press statement is to:

1: Debunk in strong terms the falsehood peddled by mischief makers on the strained relationship between Governor Yahaya Bello and Dr Abdullahi Sanni Ozomata.
