The Senator representing Niger East at the Senate of the National Assembly, Sen. Sanni Musa, has declared that Senate President, Ahmad Lawan wịll make a good President if elected or affirmed through consensus during the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primaries taking place at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
A statement by Nasir Abdullahi, Media Adviser to Ahmad Lawan Presidential Campaign team, explained that Sen. Sani Musa made the declaration after participating in the preparation for the APC Presidential primaries in Abuja.
Sen. Musa who extols the compelling qualities of the Senate President, expressed optimism that Nigeria will be better of at his emergence as the Country’s President come 2023.
“Senator Ahmad Lawan comes from a zone that has not produced a President of Nigeria since 1966. He is blessed with good education up to a PhD
“He is a very humble and loyal person, he has no scandals or controversies around him. Also he has served as a lawmaker at the House of Representatives and Senate for 23 years since 1999, he has a lot of experiences already
“Any leader desirous of leading a Country of 200 million diverse peoples must exhibit these qualities and more” he said.
Senator Musa appealed to all other contestants of the All Progressives Congress Party to eschew bitterness after the Party’s Primaries and show loyalty to the party by accepting the outcome of the primaries as the wịll of God and forge ahead towards the general elections as a united family.
