“I Have no Regrets Supporting Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello” – Sen. Smart

The Senator representing Kogi West at the National Assembly, Senator Smart Adeyemi has said he will remain a supporter of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.

Senator Smart who made this known while speaking with Journalists at the National Assembly noted that Governor Bello stood by him through his political career and personal challenges, insisting that he has not done anything that warrant him acting against the Governor.

Commenting on the recent picture making the rounds on social media, he said his account was hacked, explaining that the hacker within that period was in control of his account, carted away with huge sum of money and they are responsible for whatsoever has gone round to demean his personality and relationship with Governor Bello.

He maintained that contrary to reports in sections of the media, he will forever be loyal to Governor Yahaya Bello.

“I want to say that I have no regrets in supporting and standing for the Kogi State government at any given time

“I have no regrets supporting the Governor of my State, Yahaya Adoza Bello, it remain the proper thing to do” he said.

The Lawmaker who emerged with third position in the recently concluded primary within his Senatorial districts, criticized the conduct and the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Primaries in the Senatorial District.

He noted that the exercise was “neither free nor fair and was a complete rape of democracy, a day light robbery and an extremely manipulated exercise”

Sen. Smart however disclosed that his electoral misfortune is linked to his unbending position on national issues.

The accusation that I have stepped on toes by my position on contemporary national issues constitutes a major part of my many offences, and I have absolutely no regrets on the matter”.
