Members of the Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State has disassociate self from the purported suspension of the Chairman of the Party in the Area, Mr. Gabriel Itanyi.

A statement by the Secretary of the Party in the Area, Hon. Momosani Musa Isah and copied to the State and Kogi East Zonal Chairmen of PDP, explained that the Party is known nationwide for settling all internal crisis amicably and described as unfounded and untrue, the said suspension.

The Committee members passed vote of confidence on the Party’s Chairman in the Area, Mr. Gabriel Itanyi and others said to have been suspended, assuring that Party was committed to ensuring victory of all her candidates in the 2023 general elections in the Country.

Reacting to the purported suspension, the People’s Democratic Party Candidate for Ofu Local Government House of Assembly, Engr. Muhammed Kebiru Abdullahi, described as false the said suspension making the rounds, calling on those spreading such fake news to desist.

Engineer Muhammed Kebiru Abdullahi called on the supporters of the Party in the Local Government to remain calm and disregard the purported suspension of the Party Executives of the Local Government by some Group of the people.

The Ofu PDP Candidate commended the Party’s Chairman and other Executives in the Area for their transparency and maturity displayed at handling the affairs of the party in the Local Government.
