An Award of HUMANITARIAN SERVICE has been presented to the Kogi State APPEALS Project Coordinator, Dr. Sanni Abdullahi Ozomata.

A Group of women who are into rice marketing in Lokoja Local Government Area under the aegis of Gaskiya Rice Women Marketers Kpata Group A and B, presented the Award to Dr. Ozomata in his Office in Lokoja.

Spokesperson of the Group, Mrs. Amina Bologi, said the Award was in recognition of the State Project Coordinator’s contributions to the development of Women in Kogi State.

“We the members of Gaskiya Rice Women Marketers, Kpata, Lokoja, Kogi State, wish to formally appreciate you for your kind gesture toward the association and growth of women in the State

“It is our prayer that the good God will continue to take you to greater heights” she said.

Responding, the State APPEAL Project Coordinator, Dr. Sanni Abdullahi Ozomata, appreciated the group for finding him worthy of the award, noting that it was a testament to the good works KOGI APPEALS is doing at enhancing the productivity of farmers, processors and marketers in the State.

He advised the marketers to re-invest the profits made into the business to guarantee sustainability to enable the group access more support in the future.

Recall that the Gaskiya Rice Women Marketers A and B were part of the numerous commodity interest groups supported by the APPEALS project with haulage facilities to enable them facilitate the easy movement of their goods and services to points of sale.
