It was a gathering of political bigwigs especially the peoples Democratic Party PDP in Toto Local government area as elders, youth and women rallied round to market their sole candidate, Ibrahim Abdullahi Sa’ad who is the candidate seeking to represent Ugya / Umaisha at the Nasarawa state house of Assembly
According to them, the opposition political party is ready to take over the leadership of the state in 2023 and equally onseat the incumbent speaker of the Nasarawa state house of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, who is currently occupying the seat due to his weak performance.
Addressing the gathering, the PDP candidate, who is seeking to represent Ugya- Umaisha state constituency, Ibrahim Abdullahi Sa’ad, opined that people are getting tired with the poor leadership of the ruling party at all levels especially in Ugya-Umaisha constituency, calling on the people to vote PDP for the progress of all and good representation.
“I want to say that, APC is already a dead Party and our party PDP will take over in 2023 general elections. We are going to unseat them, they have destroyed our future and we can’t continue to allow such thing to happen in our community”.
Ibrahim abdullahi sa’ad who recently switched from APC to PDP, said he did that because PDP has a good manifestos and Justice in which it’s primary election was conducted peacefuly and assured his supporters that if elected, he will play an open door policy where everybody would be involved in decision making.
“I want to assure you that, I will provide a purposeful leadership if elected as member of the state House of Assembly, I am contesting in order to help my community to compete favourably with it’s contemporaries in the state”.
The reknown politician used the medium to felicitated with the Muslims Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el Kabir Celebration and wished them peaceful celebration just as he enjoined them to avoid acts that will dent their reputation during the period.
Receiving the campaign team of Ibrahim Sa’ad at his place in Umaisha, the Ohimege Opanda, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi, commended the peaceful manner of the PDP campaign train and warned politicians against politics of blackmail and violence and tasked the electorate to elect leaders that can deliver in their mandates.
