The Chairman, National Sesame Seed Association of Nigeria (NSSAN) – Kogi State Chapter, Alhaji Suleiman Damisa, has expressed optimism that despite the numerous challenges bedeviling Nigeria, the giant of Africa will be great again.
Alhaji Damisa who made the assertion in a telephone interview with a Correspondent of the Intelligence News on the sideline of the 2022 Eid-El-Adha Celebration said Prophet Ibrahim encountered challenges and overcame several challenges but them at the end.
He noted that Nigeria’s challenges were temporal, stressing that with true patriotism and individuals taking responsibility, the Nation will be reckoned with again for good.
Alhaji Suleiman Damisa pointed out that traditional rulers has great roles to play towards ensuring peace in their domain, calling on the Federal Government to engage them more and other critical stakeholders for a better society.
“Nigeria is currently faced with diverse challenges and it’s really telling on our economy and other aspects
“However, I am very sure that we will overcome them all and Nigeria will be great again
“Once we have true leadership, those who really have concern for the Country and her citizens, when the citizens too are ready to take responsibility and not leave everything for the government, the Country will have no choice than to grow
“Likewise, the traditional rulers needs to be directly involved in tackling societal menace especially in the areas of security
“We are commemorating Eid-El-Adha because because Prophet Ibrahim was ready to sacrifice his only son to Allah before Allah Himself intervened
“As Nigerians, we all must all be ready to sacrifice our selfish gain for the interest of all
“Politicians, Heads of departments and agencies, wherever you are and whatever position you are holding, be ready to serve the people well and make GOOD NAME for yourself by touching the people positively
“We must all have a mindset that Nigeria is the only Country we have and the onus lie on us all to make it a better place, let’s all wake up and work as one” he said.
While congratulating Muslims on the Celebration End-El-Adha, Alhaji Suleiman called on them to sustain their prayers for the progress of the Kogi State, Nigeria and for Allah’s peace to reign supreme over the globe.
