The Confluence State FRSC Boss explained that the Agency had spotted grey areas where motorists witnesses heavy traffic gam and deployed men early enough to those areas to help avert such experiences.

“We usually experience high rate of crashes and traffic gam on our highways during festive seasons, knowing that it’s an usual occurrence, we needed to apply new strategy

“We did an early deployment of our men to Upper Natacco and Felele to control traffics at three major spots – Shaffa Filling Station, Natacco Junction and of course Felele axis

“There have series of diversions due to the ongoing construction but through the Engineer Representative, we made some demands from the contractors handling the projects, they helped us opened up some of the diversions which would have contributed heavily to traffic gam so we had a smooth sail

“Aside the aforementioned, we were also able to place our men on patrol to ensure motorists obey the rules, and we also applied Sensitization strategy which started before the patrol strategy

“Through that Sensitization, we were able to speak to road users and tell them the need for them to arrive home safely even if they experience delay; we also cautioned them against over speeding and ensure their vehicles are always in perfection condition before driving out

“We are assuring the people that we will always be alive to our responsibilities and we also call on all road users to cooperate with us at all times because we are out to ensuring sanity on our roads” he said.
