The 2023 Kogi West Senatorial flag-bearer of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Hon. Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar (Bukky) has promised adequate representation if elected in the forthcoming general elections.
Hon. Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar made the promise while addressing Newsmen after observing the 2022 Ed-el-Kabir prayer at his residence, GRA, Lokoja.
He said he is in the contest to provide purposeful leadership with direction aimed at improving the condition of people in the District.
He pointed out that the people are yearning for positive change and a radical departure from the present and past representations and promised to be alive to his duty if elected for the position.
Hon. BUKKY emphasized the need for the people of Kogi West Senatorial District, Kogites, and Nigerians to embrace and vote NNPP as the Party to salvage the country from the present predicament and correct the current ills of insecurity, nepotism, maladministration, and other social evils bedeviling Country.
The NNPP Kogi West Senate Candidate said the current challenges facing the Country has been hindering peace, progress, and development of Nigeria and urged the leadership of the Country under President Muhammadu Buhari to rise to the occasion and take his oath of office more serious which is to protect, defend the Country Territorial Boundary as the giant of Africa is presently facing the problems of banditry, kidnapping, among others.
He expressed optimism that when the party ( NNPP) comes to power, some of the present issues of insecurity threatening the unity and corporate existence of the Country will be a thing of the past.
He equally advised the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to strive to defend the independence of the institution by ensuring the votes of Nigerians are protected and get counted.
He equally called on all the eligible voters from Kogi West Senatorial District and across the country to come out en mass and vote for all candidates of the New Nigeria People Party ( NNPP) for the desired peace, progress, and development of the country.
On the issues of power rotation between the good people of Yagba, Kabba Bunu/Ijumu, and Lokoja/ Koto federal constituency, he said, the people of Yagba, Kabba Bunu/ Ijumu federal constituency have had 16 years of uninterrupted representation in the senate and the spirit of equity, justice, and fairness, it will be logical for the people of Lokoja/ Koto federal constituency to produce the 2023 senator.
