The Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS) has unveilled the maiden edition of its Newsletter.
Acting Executive Chairman of the Service, Alhaji Sule Salihu while speaking at the Unveiling event in Lokoja said the Newsletter would serve as a vehicle for the public to know what the Government does with the taxes they pay.
Alhaji Salihu noted that the Newsletter would help the Service to sale their tax products, pointing out that the Service has various tax items that would be made available to the public through the Newsletter.
He said the Newsletter has brought to the fore the activities of the service in the areas of transparency and expressed appreciation to members of the service for their contributions to the success of the Newsletter and charged them to do more in the subsequent editions.
The Ag. Executive Chairman pointed out that the service, unlike other tax Organizations in the Country was more concerned about offering Tax services, stressing that the Service has ensured good relationship management in tax collection.
While promising increased growth in revenue generation for the State in the next quarter, Alhaji Saliu assurred that the service will continue to give support to businesses.
He expressed satisfaction with the present administration for the judicious use of taxes, pointing out that the service has resolved its crisis with the telecommunication giant – Globalcom, as proper arrangements have been made towards their payment plan.
