Community Service: Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi Commends Youths Efforts at Giving Community Cemetery a New Look (VIDEO)

At the wee hours of Friday, 22nd July 2022, youths in Okengwe, Okene (II) Local Government Area of Kogi State, matched to the Cemetery located in the Area to clear the grown bushes surrounding it.

This singular community service offered by the youths, caught the attention of the Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi, HRH Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje who is presently in Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj.

When he got the news of the good deeds of the youths in his domain, Alhaji Ahmed Anaje described their efforts as commendable.

The Kogi State Amir Hajj in a chat with a Correspondent of the Intelligence News, pointed out that the growth and development of the society requires collective efforts, and appreciated the youths for rendering the selfless service to the land.

“Words can’t explain how happy I was when I got the news that some youths has matched to the Okengwe Cemetery to clear the place, I was very glad

“This is what life is about, we mustn’t leave everything for the government, for traditional rulers and other few individuals alone

“We all have a role to play, I am telling you that I am very happy that people are begining to bring back good old days, may Allah continue to bless and reward everyone who took part in the Community service”

The Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi enjoined the youths to sustain the good gesture of contributing their quota to the development of the society and charged others to remain agents of good change wherever they found themselves.
