Kogi East Zonal Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Alhaji Mamman Pele has called on the public to disregard reports making the rounds on the impeachment of Engr. Gabriel Itanyi as the Chairman of the Party in Ofu Local Government Area.
In a Letter signed by the Secretary to the Kogi East Zonal Chairman, explained that the Party only received a complain against the Ofu LGA PDP Chairman, saying a Committee was yet to be set up to look into the issue.
He noted that the Leadership of the Party in the Zone was not aware of the purported improvement, calling on members to stay united as a family and ensure the victory of her flag-bearers in the coming general elections in the Country.
THE LETTER READ:
“Our attention have been drawn to the impeachment of the Ofu Local Government Chairman of PDP, that the Kogi East Zonal Chapter of the Party is not aware of the purported impeachment, that the zonal chapter was only aware of the complain against the Chairman
“While the Zonal Chairman is still going through the petition before setting up a Committee that would investigate the allegations against the Chairman, all to read on platforms that the Chairman has been impeached, the question is by who and which Committee?
“To this end the zonal office of kogi east disassociate itself from the purported impeachment and the general public is here by advised to disregard the purported impeachment of Ofu LGA Chairman of PDP as you can never be a judge in your own case
“We equally advise that we should embrace peace rather than rancho as we approach 2023 general elections, and note that the due process will be followed by the zonal chapter of the Party in Kogi East”.
