As part of effort to provide an improved welfare packages for the local government workforce and in line with the administration of Engineer Abdullahi Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State. The Chairman of the Toto local government area of the State, Honorable Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas has set up a 9-man committee on salary verification exercise.
The Chairman gave the order shortly after meeting with the members set up to carry out a verification exercise of staff and members of the council.
The committee, headed by the supervisory councilor for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Hon. Adamu Yusuf Omaaki as Chairman and Mr.
Adamu Danladi Maikeke as Secretary, the committee is also saddled with the responsibility of ascertaining the number of staff on the payroll, Normal roll, Present grade level, Grade level on payroll, and Gross payment, Net payment, Reduction per staff and include Year of retirement and Remittance update of the council staff.
The committee was also set up for a purpose of determining the gap in human resources to enable the government to plan for sta,ff recruitment, training, welfare, and resource allocation for improved welfare or services.
The Chairman in a statement signed and issued to the press by his Senior Special Assistant, SSA, Media & Publicity, Yahaya Idris Toto says the Screening Committee on Salary Verification has the following members.
1. Mr. Adamu Yusuf Omaaki – Chairman
2. Madam Patience Micheal – MHWUN – Member
3. Mr. Abubakar Umar Qs – NULGE
4. Comr. Salisu Adamu – NUT – Member
5. Alhaji Danlami Usman D. Member
6. Mr. Usman Adamu Danladi – Member
7. Hon. Yunusa Sani Shege ward councilor
8. Hon. Emmanuel Shekwoyadu – Member
9. Mr. Adamu Danladi Maikeke – Secretary
The statement further indicates the terms of reference which includes:
1. Payroll
2. Normal roll
3. Present grade level
4. Grade level on payroll
5. Gross payment
6. Net payment
7. Reduction per staff
8. Year of retirement
9. Remittance update
Hon. Abdullahi Tashas while congratulating the new committee, charge them with dedication and commitment to ensuring they deliver excellent jobs.
The chairman also warned the committee against compromising, saying the outcome of the committee report will be used to determine the next line of action.
