Few days after returning to Nigeria as the Amir-Hajj of the 2022 Kogi State Muslim Pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, the Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi, HRH Alhaji Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, has been appointed as the Patron, Kogi Central Senatorial District of an Islamic Organization, Council of Ulama’u of Nigeria.
In a Letter signed by Alhaji Idris BaAngo For: Executive Secretary, the Organisation explained that Alhaji Ahmed Anaje was chosen for the position in view of his commitment to the propagation of Islam.
THE LETTER READ IN PART:
“I am directed by the above named Organization to notify you of your appointment as a Patron of the Council of Ulama’u representing Central Senatorial District, based on your track record of achievements towards Islamic development and Organization
“Your acceptance of this honourable responsibility will go a long way in promoting Islamic activities in Kogi State
“The Council as well Congratulate you as Ameerul-Hajj for this year 2022 successful Hajj operation. May Allah accept your prayers and continue to multiply His favour on you and your family”
The Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi appreciated the body for finding him worthy of such responsibility and promised to live up to expectations in the discharge of his duties.
