…Charges the New Permanent Secretary to Sustain His Commitment to Duty
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, has been praised over the appointment of Rev. Itodo Joseph Daniel as Permanent Secretary.
Commissioner of the State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Hon. Salifu Isah Idachaba, gave the commendation while reacting to the promotion of the staff of the Ministry in Lokoja.
Hon. Idachaba said the Governor since his assumption of Office has always allowed the civil service rules to take its due course as it regards promotion matter, stressing that such has brought smiles to the faces of Kogi workers.
He explained that under the leadership of Governor Bello, the children of nobody have been given the right footings thereby giving them a name in the society, stressing that such was a complete departure from the past and hailed Governor Bello for bringing about such good development.
He congratulated the new Permanent Secretary, Rev. Itodo Joseph Daniel on his elevation, describing him as a dedicated staff who has been dedicated to his duties at all times.
Hon. Idachaba pointed out that his appointment was a square peg in a square hole in view of his dedication to service.
While wishing him well in his well deserved appointment, he enjoined him to reciprocate the confidence reposed in him by the State Government through the elevation.
On his part, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Benjamin Ibrahim, congratulated Rev. Itodo Joseph Daniel on the new appointment.
Mr. Benjamin enjoined him to stay focused at delivering the needed results wherever he will be posted to, explaining that all Ministry’s has their objectives.
He pointed out that a cordial working relationship with the Commissioner, Directors and other Staff of the Ministry he will be posted to will go a long way at helping him succeed in his new assignment and wish him well as he prepares for the tasks ahead.
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, recently approved the appointment of seven Permanent Secretaries in the State.
Rev. Itodo Joseph Daniel, joined the Kogi State Civil Service in 1993 and rose to the position of Director of Performing Arts until his new appointment.
