The Kogi State Chairman of the Labour Party, Ahmed Suleiman Abdul, says the Party’s Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi has all it takes to rescue Nigeria from her various challenges.
Abdul stated this in an interview with a Correspondent of the Intelligence News in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital.
He said the Presidential Candidate of the Party left good legacies while serving as the Governor of Anambra State, explaining that no living or deceased Governor have been able to outshine the success stories of Peter Obi.
The Kogi State Labour Party Chairman pointed out that the choice of Peter Obi will resuscitate Nigeria’s dwindling and collapsed economy, position Nigeria as the industrial hub of Africa and as well, bring an the needed development to the Country.
He expressed optimism that Nigeria will in no distant time take her rightful place as the giant of Africa when Peter Obi emerges the Country’s President come 2023, calling on Nigerians to stay committed to the OBIDIENT MOVEMENT.
“Look at the track records of His Excellency, Peter Obi when he was serving as the Governor of Anambra State, you will need no sweet sayer to dissect the mind of the gods before you know that Peter Obi is the right man for the job
“Peter Obi inherited Anambra as at the time the State was ranked 39th in the Education sector but before he left Office, Anambra State was ranked 1st
“He met the State Treasury at a deplorable situation, but he left billions of Naira in the State Treasury Account when he was leaving the Office as the Governor and so many other things he has done that time won’t permit us to mention
“We all know that Nigeria today is faced with diverse challenges and our economy is nothing to write home about but with a man like Peter Obi, Nigerians will have every course to rejoice because things will change for the best
“Peter Obi will rescue Nigeria from the Shackles of Retrogression, unemployment, under development, poverty, insecurity, economic downturn, make Nigeria an industrial hub, and so many others
“This is a man that has been traveling outside the Country not for pleasure but to go and understudy how other Countries of the world are doing it and it’s working for them
“He has garnered the needed experience to take Nigeria to greater heights in no distant time” he said.
Speaking about the activities of the Party in Kogi State, the Chairman explained that just like other States of the Federation, Labour Party has a formidable structure in the Confluence State, pointing out that the Party has become a force to be reckoned with.
Ahmed Suleiman Abdul noted that Labour Party remain the only alternative to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in view of the antecedents of the Party and the laudable plans for the people at all levels.
He said the Party has come to stay in Kogi State, adding that credible, committed, tested, trusted and result oriented Candidates have been filed for various positions in the coming general elections.
Abdul called on members of the Party to stay committed towards ensuring the success of the Party in the State, stressing that the development, progress, unity, peace and secured environment the people seek will be realized through the Labour Party.
The Labour Party Chairman also explained that the doors of the Party were open for all to join, assuring that everyone will be carried along in the scheme of things.
“As we at this moment, Labour Party has gotten 39 functional Offices in Kogi State and we have sensitizing the public across the three Senatorial Districts of Kogi State about the Party
“We have the needed structures and we are very ready to take the bull by its horn in the coming elections, Kogi State will definitely witness a thing come 2023″ he assured.
Ahmed Suleiman Abdul enjoined members of the Party to stay focused, sustain their loyalty to the Party and remain humane and peaceful in their conducts on daily basis for the betterment of the Party and the State.
