Labour Party House of Representatives flag-bearer for the Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Zacchaeus Jonathan, says the Party is on pedestal of bringing about the needed development, prosperity and secured environment the citizens have been yearning for.
Jonathan stated this at a Town Hall Meeting of the Party held in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital.
He said the Nation has suffered setback from the past and present handlers of the Country, stressing that such trend must changed for good.
The Lokoja/Kogi House of Representatives Candidate expressed displeasure over the untold hardship currently faced by Nigerians, assuring that such will become history with Labour Party steering the wheel of the Nation come 2023.
“This is the time that Nigeria is waiting for you to effect the change we have been yearning for as citizens
“We are gathered here today as a people because it has been predestined by the Almighty that a day like this will come that we will be gathered as concerned citizens to chat a way forward for a desired change that the Country deserves
“In the past we have used Umbrella but we’re still beaten by the rain, we used broom to sweep but the environment is still very dirty and stinky, but today we have come to realize that without a father, mother and the children, the environment cannot be taken care of
“We need development, succor, employment, secured environment, economic boost, among others, Labour Party is the only alternative for us to realize this long time dream
“They said no structure, meanwhile, members make up a structure and Labour Party is blessed with members across the 36 States of the Country including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja
“We are coming on a very high, calculated and unstoppable speed, it will be like a dream when we takeover and Nigerians will be grateful for it in no distant time” he said.
He assured of his commitment to working with the Executives of the Party in Kogi State towards ensuring the success of the Party, adding that Labour Party was on mission of writing the wrongs of the past.
