Coalition of Former Political Office Holders in Kogi Declares Support for BAT/Shetima Presidency

The Coalition of Former Political Office Holders from the three (3) Senatorial Districts of Kogi State have declared their unalloyed support towards the success of the All Progressives Congress APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) and Vice, Shetima.

The Group made the promise during her Maiden Meeting at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Speaking at the meeting, the Convener, Hon. Abdulmumin Sadiq, explained that the aim of the group was to see to the success of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Shetima Campaign and Victory during the 2023 election.

Hon. Sadiq explained that the Group has the potential of out-living the current political dispensation, stressing that the new movement is bigger than the members of the Group.

He further spoke on the need for a befitting name that will be registered as a Support Group with the Campaign Office of Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Shetima; and the setting up of a structure across the State, getting a good office building in Lokoja, the state capital.

On his part, the Former Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. (Hon.) Abdullahi Bello stressed the need for understanding, peace and harmony in Kogi State.

“We must be grateful to God for the political opportunity/foundation given to us by His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Executive Governor of Kogi State and for maintaining a cordial relationship at all times

“As a Group, we must stay committed to this noble course and ensure we continue to contribute our quota to the development of Kogi State

The Forum noted with satisfaction the formation of the Group and coined its name as Coalition of Former Political Office Holders (CoPOH) in Kogi State and thanked the Convener, Engr. Abdulumumin Sadiq for their steadfastness and humanitarian support for the State.

The Forum assured of its commitment to providing all the necessary support to Tinubu/Shetima Campaign starting from Polling Units (PU), Wards to the Local Government Areas with a view to achieving its objectives.

The Forum agreed to embark on a courtesy visit to Rt. (Hon.) Sunday Abiodun Faleke, His Excellencies, Asiwaju Bola Tinibu and Kashim Shettima.

A Committee was further set up to find an appropriate office building in Lokoja, Kogi State and to be headed by Hon. Kabiru Mohammed, alongside Hon. Maiwada Paul, Hon. Isa Abdullahi and Hon. Ahmed Attah as Members.

The Committee was is also mandated to report back to the house in one (1) week as a take off donation of Five Hundred Thousand Naira to the Forum was made by the Convener, Hon. (Engr.)/⁰ Abdulmumin A. Sadiq.

The Group endorsed the following officers for the smooth running of the Forum activities:

CHAIRMAN – Hon. (Engr.) Abdulmumin A. Sadiq, VICE CHAIRPERSON – Hon. (Mrs.) Ampitan Bolanle, SECRETARY – Hon. (Dr.) Ahmed J. Attah and KOGI EAST COORDINATOR – Hon. Prince Isa A.

Others are KOGI CENTRAL COORDINATOR – Hon Omade I., KOGI WEST COORDINATOR – Hon. Nda Aaron and PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER – Hon. David Alfred Dogwo.
