The Kogi State Coordinator of the People’s Democratic Party – PDP New Generation, Adamu Ibrahim, says all issues of insecurity in Nigeria will be addressed if the PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar emerges Winner of next year’s Presidential election.
Ibrahim made the assertion while reacting to the increasing spate of insecurity in Nigeria.
He regretted that Nigeria has suddenly become a Nation where citizens could no longer sleep with their two eyes closed especially in the Northern part of the Country, saying such calls for the reawakening of the various security outfits in the Country.
The Kogi State Coordinator of PDP New Generation also frowns at the ill-manner the federal government is handling the Nation’s glaring security challenges, describing it as disappointing.
“We have never had it this bad security-wise in Nigeria, presently the Country is in a mess and it all balls down to poor Leadership
“In 1999 when Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar took over Office, they met similar situation but they were able to resolve it and the Country became better for it
“They achieved this because they had visible footprint on how to go about it but the current administration has no sense of direction on how to handle the current security mess” he said.
Adamu expressed optimism that insecurity will become a history in Nigeria if the citizens cast their votes for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the coming general elections, saying he has garnered the needed experience to rescue the Country from her current deplorable situation.
“We need a Leader like Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who will untie the hands of our security agencies, come up with visible, realistic plans and policies to guide our security agencies to bring an end to all forms of insecurity in our Country
“Nigerians should look inward and choose among the Presidential Candidates, one who will be able to bring an end to security issues in our Country. I tell you, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is that only candidate that can lay insecurity to rest in Nigeria
“He has released his working document which he named “My Covenant with Nigerians” and in it he highlighted Security, Education, Economy among others
“We have no doubt that the Country will progress when we finally have Alhaji Atiku Abubakar serving as Nigeria’s President because we know what he can do and we are sure, Nigerians will be better of in no distant time” he said.
The PDP New Generation is a platform designed to promote the Presidential aspiration of Atiku Abubakar, his running mate, and all other candidates of PDP in the 2023 General Elections.
