Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi Receives ACAN Certificate, Promises to Continue to Render Selfless Services

In his quest to equipping himself with more knowledge towards solving issues, the Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi, HRH Alhaji Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, has received a Certificate of Attendance of the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria (ACAN) Workshop.

The Certificate was presented to the traditional ruler for attending a 2-day Workshop on Art and Practice of System Integrity and Value Governance as a Panacea to Curbing Corruption for Local Government Officials in Kogi State organized by ACAN in collaboration with the Value Plus Creation and Data Technology Managers at the Glass House, Lokoja.

The Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi appreciated the ACAN for organizing the Workshop, describing it as an eye opener.

HRH Ahmed Muhammed pointed out that corruption has eaten deep into the fabrics of the society thereby causing stagnation to even development, calling on the people to join in the fight against such trend.

He explained that the fight against corruption calls for the contributions of all, ranging from the family, teachers, religious leaders, traditional rulers, government officials, opinion moulders, youths, amongst others.

HRH Ahmed Anaje expressed optimism that Nigeria will be great again when all hands are on deck towards ensuring a better society desired by the citizens.

He also promised to continue to contribute his quota to the development of the society, adding that a peaceful society attracts more development.

The Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria (ACAN), is the Academy of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offense Commission (ICPC) and was established pursuant to Section 6 of the Corruption Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000 which empowers the Commission to carry out preventive, enforcement and enlightenment functions.

ACAN has a mission to be a center of excellence; enhancing multi-disciplinary approach to the fight against corruption through Training, Research, Documentation and Advisory Services.
