As the ceaseless encomium of Labour Party Candidates for Okigwe North Federal Constituency and Isiala Mbano State House of Assembly continue to attract positive reaction from various quarters, the Home and Abroad Women of Ogbor Autonomous Community, Isiala Mbano LGA, Imo State, has adopted the candidacies of Hon. Chikwem Onuoha and Hon. Charles Ogu for Federal House of Representatives, Okigwe North Federal Constituency and Imo State House of Assembly, Isiala Mbano State Constituency respectively, come 2023.
A statement by the Publicity Secretary, Isiala Mbano LGA, Engr. Dikeoma Chibueze, explained that the women of Ogbor during their August meeting had their turn of warm praises and share of gratitude, as they applauded the duo’s frugality and thriftness in harnessing resources, ensuring peaceful habitation and as well, their charitable kindness towards the Federal and State Constituencies, regardless of the fact that they are yet to occupy elective positions.
The LGA Chairman of Labour Party in Isiala Mbano LGA, Hon. Obinna Lordis Mbamara who represented Hon. Chikwem Onuoha, while addressing the people at the meeting appreciated the women for their unflinching support in sustaining the gains of democracy by identifying with Labour Party and the candidates.
Engr. Lordis Mbamara described the Party’s flag bearers as men of massive goodwill whose emergences as Labour Party candidates were expression of the overwhelming confidence of the party faithfuls on their capacity to deliver.
He called on the people to sustain their efforts to see to the success of the party in Ogbor community and Isiala Mbano LGA, come 2023.
The Party Chairman maintained that Chikwem’s representation in the House of Representatives will be remarkably different, stressing that a support for Hon. Chikwem Onuoha and Hon. Charles Ogu will bring good tidings to both the young and old.
Marshaling out the goodies in stock from Labour Party, Hon. Mbamara informed the people that the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi is a man who works to recreate a different narrative of an industrialized country; an all inclusive governance approach and other relevant market place skills for the women.
He urged them to remain faithful to the party, support worthwhile aspirations of all the candidates of the Labour Party across all board.
“With all our Candidates mounting various leadership positions, I am sure that the good dreams of the people of Ogbor, Isiala Mbano LGA, Imo State and Nigeria at large will be rejigged, rejuvenated, rebranded and transmogrified positively for the betterment of the people” he assured.
High point of the meeting was the adoption of Hon. Chikwem Onuoha and Hon. Charles Ogu as members to represent Ndi Okigwe North and Ndi Isiala Mbano LGA, at the Federal House of Representatives and State House of Assembly respectively in the 2023 Election.
The women also handed the candidates of Labour Party over to God in a prayer session conducted in affirmation of the resolution and to the success of the Candidates.
Other stakeholders of the Party at the event include; Chidi Opara – Ugiri/Oka Ward Chairman; Eugene Nwachukwu, Obollo Ward Chairman; Engr. Ben Njoku, Ogbor Ward Chairman; Maxwell Akabusim, Amauzari Ward Chairman and the impeccable woman of Honour, Lolo Esther Onyeji, the LGA Treasurer, who were well received by the Labour Party State Secretary, Chief Fab Okochi.
