TEDxOkene: Engr. Ohere Promises to Help Kogi Central Youths Harness their Potentials


The All Progressives Congress (APC) Flagbearer for Kogi Central Senatorial District, Engr. Abubakar Ohere has assured the people of a constructive engagement that would enable them harness their full potentials using technological means if elected.

Engr. Ohere gave the assurance while addressing participants at TEDxOkene.

The APC Flag-bearer who was represented by the Chairman, Ohere Political Vanguard Campaign Support Organisation, Prof. Solomon Avidime, said with the establishment of the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, the difficulty in securing admissions by indigenes of the Area to study Medicine and Engineering in other Universities has been tackled.

Engr. Ohere described the establishment of the Referral Hospital, Okene, a world class health institution as another development that would create job opportunities, attract medical tourists and make Okene and the Central Senatorial District a hub of economic activities.

He said with the opportunities offered by the institutions, all that is required from young people from the area is the Can- Do- Spirit, pointing out that with such a spirit they can achieve their dreams and potentials.

The APC Flag-bearer showers praises on youths of the Central Senatorial District and lauded them for the prevailing peace existing in the area and also urged them to remain focus, hopeful, contented at all times.

He assured that greatness lies ahead for them if they collectively work for the progress of the Area and also put their minds to their endeavors.

Engr. Ohere described the Youths of the Central Senatorial District as a people who have over time displayed the can do spirit, calling on them to see education as a legacy that can make them relevant to the society.

He pointed out that it was the legacy of education bequeathed to him and others by their parents in time past that made them relevant to their world, urging them to take advantage of the efforts of the present administration to acquire education and skills.

Engr. Ohere promised to create the needed platform if elected that would help the youths engage with modern technology in their fields of endeavors.

The APC Kogi Central Senatorial District Flagbearer noted that no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of violence and commended TEDx Okene for creating a platform for meaningful engagement for youths of the area.

He assured of his unalloyed support and commitment to assisting them realize their full potentials.
