It was another moment of celebration and overwhelming jubilation in Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State as the Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Barr. Muhammed Tanko Osuku takes Princess Fatima Abdulkarim Odariko from one of the ruling Houses in the Area for a wife.
Dignitaries from all walks of life, trooped to the Area as Barr. Tanko pays the dowry of Princess Fatima amidst funfair, under the supervision of family members and traditional rulers.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, the Chief Imam of Kogi Local Government Area, Mallam Yakubu Musa, said Marriage was ordained by Allah for the male and female gender to come together as husband and wife at matured age.
Mallam Musa pointed out that the fear, commitment to the service of Allah and patience are critical tools that will help sustain good home.
In an interview with a 2019 Governorship Aspirant in Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Muhammed Musa Maikaya, described marriage as a beautiful union between a man and a woman who are ready to create mutual understanding between themselves and raise God fearing children together.

Alhaji Maikaya who is also the Ciroma of Toto and President, Toto Development Association (TODA), noted that Barr. Tanko is a fellow who is loved by the members of his Community and people outside the State, describing the crowd at the wedding Nikkab as overwhelming.

“That was a great testimony that Barr. Tanko Osuku is a person that is loved across board
“Many of us came from outside Kogi State to rejoice with Barr. Tanko, he has been doing great and we are all very happy with him”
He enjoined the couple to sustain their prayers to Allah to enable them succeed.

On his part, the Treasurer of Kogi Local Government Area, Abdullahi Yusuf Ohikura, congratulated Barr. Tanko Osuku for taking another wife as approved by Islam, describing it as a right step in the right direction.

Ohikura who is the Matawale of Igu Kingdom described his Boss – Barr. Tanko as a man of impeccable character, stressing that he has been serving as a pathfinder to so many in the society.
The Kogi Local Government Area Treasurer called on young ladies who are into “HOOK UP” to desist from such saying that aside been prone to Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), the holy books also kicks against such practices.
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) House of Representatives Candidate for Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency for the 2023 Elections, Comr. Muhammed Sanni Yusuf, said the step taken by Barr. Tanko to marry another wife was in line with Islamic injunction, calling on Muslims who have the capacity to do same.

Comr. Yusuf explained that marriage was instituted by Allah for the purpose of procreation, serving as light to others in the society and raising children that will serve as agents of good change.
He expressed optimism that Barr. Tanko, haven been into marriage Institution for long, is already equipped with the needed wisdom to run a successful family, calling for more patience and understanding among the wives.
Similarly, Engr. Salo Ibrahim Dausu who is a close associate of Barr. Tanko Osuku, described the mammoth crowd at the event as a testament of the celebrant’s good deeds, calling on the people to remain good ambassadors and stay committed to community development.

Engr. Dausu said Barr. Tanko taking another wife calls for greater responsibility but explained that such tells how capable a man is at catering for his home.
He stressed that marrying more wives strengthens a man physically, intellectually and morally, adding that more support and comfort from the family is needed at a point as this.
Also speaking, Barrister Umar Abdullahi who explained that his relationship with Barr. Tanko Osuku has span for over three decades, described the Groom as a reliable fellow that can be beckoned at, at all times irrespective of situations.

Barr. Abdullahi while calling for more understanding, love, peaceful approach to issues and commitment to prayers, enjoined other Muslims with the capacity to marry more wives to do so in line with the Islamic injunctions.
The 1986 Set of the Government Secondary School (GSS) Koton-Karfe who are classmates of Barrister Muhammed Tanko Osuku, graced the event in a grand style.

Speaking on behalf of the GSS Koton-Karfe 1986 Set after presenting a gift to the Groom, the Head Boy – Sanni Yusuf, commended Barr. Tanko for his good deeds for members of the Set, describing him as a man who has touched the lives of many positively.
Yusuf also enjoined the Couple not to give room to third party interference in their relationship.
The Groom, Barr. Tanko Muhammed Osuku, who said his joy knows no bound over the successful wedding between him and Princess Fatima Abdulkarim Odariko, appreciated Allah for making the day a reality.

Barr. Tanko described marriage as an institution where love, patience, endurance and understanding is entrenched, saying that such plays significant role at ensuring a harmonious home.
The Chairman, Kogi State Civil Service Commission, promised to abide by the code of conduct regulating marriage Institution, stressing that the rights of his wife will be duly given her while she replicate same.
He appreciated all who travelled from both far and near to rejoice with him on the occasion, praying Allah to grant them journey mercy back to their respective destinations.
