“We Are Open for Partnership with Agencies Willing to Work Towards the Growth of Kogi State” – Pharm. Asuku

NASRDA Delegation with the Chief of Staff

Kogi State Government has promised to partner with Agencies that are willing to work with the government towards the growth of the State.

Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Muhammed Jamiu Asuku, made the promise when he received delegation from the Centre for Atmospheric Research (CAR), an autonomous activity centre of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) in his Office, in Lokoja.

Pharm. Asuku said Research plays significant role in the development of the Society, State and the Country at large, stressing that the Governor Yahaya Bello led Administration in the State has accorded attention to Research at solving issues.

The Chief of Staff also praised NASRDA for recognizing the efforts of Gov. Bello especially in the areas of security, saying that the State Government will continue to do her best at ensuring a secured environment for all.

“Research is one of the significant aspect that humanity cannot do without, it helps know the past and also helps prepare for the future

“We sincerely appreciate NASRDA for coming and I assure you that His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is always open to partner with Agencies that are willing to work together towards the growth of Kogi State he said.

Earlier, the Director/Chief Executive of NASRDA, Professor Babatunde Rabiu while speaking at the meeting, commended the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for providing an enabling environment free of security challenges and other biases, for them to have worked for the past 9years.

Prof. Rabiu appreciated the Governor for his giant strides in areas of education, infrastructure, health and being a patron of Science and Technology.

He said the centre is ready and requesting for partnership with appropriate arms of the government to further harness the potentials of Science and Technology, as they have scientific results that can advance revenue drives in the State.

The Centre for Atmospheric Research (CAR), an autonomous activity centre of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), is located within the Campus of the Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba and has been operating for over nine years as a Scientific and Research Centre.
