Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has continued to meet with members and executives of All Progressives Congress across the twenty-one local government areas with clear objectives to commend them for their unwavering support at all times and to urge them to support all the APC candidates from the presidency to the state assembly.
Governor Bello after meeting with all the APC executives across the 21 Local Government Areas, has continued to meet them per each constituency.
While meeting with Idah Federal Constituency, comprising Idah, Ofu, Ibaji and Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Areas on Sunday, at the Glass House Government House – Lokoja on Sunday 18th September 2022, Governor Bello assured them of providing a system that will give them access to him directly, stressing that the system will not allow the third party.
“Those of you at the Grassroots own me, without you, aside God Almighty, I wouldn’t have been here. You are the real APC Stakeholders as far as Kogi State is concerned
“You all belong to this system, a system that produces all of you is the same that produced me” he said.
Governor Bello appreciated them for what they have done, doing and what they will do in future.
He as well appreciated them for their patience, resilience, understanding and for accepting him and all others who are presently in positions of authority.
Governor Bello said APC in Kogi State is one big family, and that God who gave them victory from 2015 will continue to grant the Party victory in the upcoming elections.
On getting to them directly, Governor Bello said there have been several programmes from state and federal levels, stressing that he will ensure every benefit that will come, gets to them directly.
“The System is such that there will be no room for excuse, there will be no room for anybody to be excluded. In fact, it will be such that you can report from your own eclipse to me directly, and I will be able to respond to you whatever is happening in your local Government, Council, Wards, Polling Units, and Communities
“You will be able to report directly to your Governor and your Governor will respond to you directly” Gov. Bello explained.
He said the system is not just for political reasons but a system that is going to empower youths, old, indigent, PLWD, constituencies and kogi at large.
The Governor promised that a team will be sent to them to demonstrate how the system will work, calling on them not to work against the system that is working efficiently.
Should anyone work against the system, the Governor said such person will be easily identified expunged from the system.
He called on all APC Members to work for the interest of the party and ensure all candidates from the state including the APC Presidential candidate, Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu win overwhelmingly.
“Our Candidate as far as the Presidency is concerned is Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu. We are going to deliver over 99% of the vote for Tinubu and Shettima in the next election in Kogi State. We don’t have opposition” Gov. Bello assured.
He advised them to recognize pioneer members of the APC, carry them along, and give them equal space to operate and also called fair treatment for the new members irrespective of when they join the Party.
On his experience as APC Presidential aspirant, he said he has only learnt from Champions, which has sharpened his political understanding and ideas, saying he supported Ahmed Tinubu as the best to happen to Nigeria.
Governor Bello said APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu is a trustworthy leader, an Achiever, epitome of success, consistent and straightforward leader who has continued to be in the Party.
The Governor assured that Tinubu is the man to make Nigeria an envious nation in the committee of nations in the years ahead.
He used the opportunity to announce his appointment as the APC National Youth Coordinator for the 2023 General elections, saying that he has accepted the offer and will deliver in the same capacity even more in the same manner, they deliver 41m members for the party during the mobilization and sensitisation for registration of new members.
