It was jubilation galore as a new Permanent Secretary in the Kogi State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Onumoko was welcomed in a grand style by members of FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) in Okene.
Speaking with Newsmen, the President of FAWWASS who doubles as the Leader of Okene Legislative Council, Hajia Bilikisu Onumoko said the appointment of Hajia Habibat Onumoko has further confirmed the leadership philosophy of Governor Yahaya Bello to bridging gender gap by giving women critical roles to play in his administration.
The FAWWASS President charged the new Permanent Secretary to prove her mettle beyond expectations to justify the confidence reposed in her by the Governor, urging women across the State to join hands with the Governor Bello’s New Direction led administration to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
Hajia Habibat Onumoko, in her vote of thanks, appreciated the group for the warm reception accorded her and charged them to continue to pray and support the New Direction Team.
She added that the present administration in the State is committed to doing more for the people.
In another development, FAWWASS hailed the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Salami Ozigi Deedat, stressing that he has demonstrated uncommon traits as a great leader through courage, resilience and wisdom.
